Freedom Hitch Qs

I was just looking at the Freedom Hitch website and I am intrigued by this device. I searched the archives for awhile but I didn't find the answers to two questions:
1.
Does the unit self center to a certain extent? It seems to me that the meshing triangles would shift the implment 2-3 inches if one was a bit off in backing up. Is this correct?
2.
I notice when ordering the video they want a phone#. Is a saleman gonna call me? If yes, I'm not looking any further. I get enough stupid callers trying to sell me everything under the sun.

I have a JD iMatch. In regards to the 2-3" of "side to side" sway there is a little play. I keep the turnbuckles adjusted on the draft links to eliminate as much of this as possible. When you have an impliment on and in the raised position they can move around quite a bit if you don't.

I have used the Freedom Hitch System for 3 years and am very satisfied.
As to your questons:
1. I think you are asking if there is a fudge factor when hooking up. There is little or no additional "sway" after hooking up. The attachment is just as secure as a regular three-point set. Yes when backing up, you can be off a couple of inches and still sucessfully get a "lock". Another thing that greatly aids easy hitching with Freedom Hitch is hydro. top n tilt for the three-point. With this and Freedom Hitch, I can even be off line some and get a good lock by manipulating the top n tilt control.

If you want, call there 800 number and ask for a video. I do not remember if they called back but when I talked to them I told them I was ordering through my local tractor dealer and I did not a return call. BTW, the saleman was very "low key"

I liked the looks of the Freedom Hitch, but the price made me look elsewhere. $195 for each section. I'm waiting to see the one Midwest Equipment debuts soon. Th prototype looked great but they've made several improvements, so I hear /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

I too have been using Freedom Hitch for a couple of years and have no complaints. Works very well when I want to make quick changes from rear scoop to rear blade and back again. No pulling or tugging. In the implement storage shed, all implements are on dollies so proper alignment for connection to tractor not a problem. When in use in the yard and I want to make a switch, simply drop it where I have lots of room to maneuver and when I go back to pick it up again, doesn't matter if I am in perfect alignment as the triangles self align when you raise the 3 point hitch.

I ordered the video online and did not receive any phone calls from a salesperson. I did deal with an excellent person, Bob Jochims, whom handled all my questions and my subsequnt orders.
