I have blown out a freeze plug and need to know if it is an item I can buy at an auto parts house. My manual shows it to be a taper plug, but no dimensions are given. Can I use a "cup" style, like on a regular motor?

You can use a cup type plug. The standard sizes for Yanmar are 25mm, 30mm, and 50mm.

Buy a rubber one at any auto parts store & they are adjustable. they cost 2.99 (cheap) I believe its a 1 1/8 size
