Freight cost (Chicago to Syracuse)

Yellow freight is the best company I have dealt with at work and for my personal use over the years. I would not use the website but call them for a quote. Be sure you ask about DISCOUNTS ! This is a program Yellow freight has and when you fill out the BOL you must write on it " Yes , Discount requested ". I sent a blower from Detroit to California for $220. I did take it to the terminal here and that price was supposed to be Terminal to Terminal. But because I pre paid they delivered it on a Truck with a loading gate to the buyers house. They also have a good tracking system so you can always find out right where you item is. You have to have all the fuel drained and have it strapped to a pallet and wrapped in plastic. I found a place here to do it for $20 includeing the pallet. After they wrapped it they put it in the truck, I drove to Yellow and they took it out of the truck. It was all very easy.

It's funny - around here (NE Georgia) it's the kiss of death if you put anything on Yellow. We have good luck with USF Holland, Roadway, Averitt, and Conway.

Well I got a price of $328 from Yellow. The vendor got a price of $149. I guess it pays to do business more than once with them.

When I order something that requires a truck shipment, I have it shipped to where I work. The last thing I ordered (my finish mower) was $100 cheaper to have it shipped there than to have it shipped to my house. Corriher's shipped it using Yellow.

We've got a guide at work of which company to use depending on which state we are shipping to. If we're shipping from Ohio to New York, we use Estes.
