From which side do you mount your tractor?

I don't care which side someone dismounts from. If you are about to disembark and you notice a rattlesnake below; you will probably change sides.

I don't know that I have a preference. Whichever side is convenient for the reason I'm mounting/dismounting. All else being equal, I probably use the left side more.
Either way, I have to swing a leg up and over the steering wheel. The seating layout on my '88 JD750, tho comfortable while operating, does not work especially well for my 6 foot 200 pound frame.
I love absolutely everything else about the tractor though. It has been through **** with me for 25 years now and never had a serious breakdown.

I get on from the right, loader controls are on the left, because that is where I put it!
If the loader is up, I can get on from the left.

I generally get on my tractor from the left, or port side if you prefer. It allows for easier access as the loader controls aren't in the way on the left. Sometimes if I'm near a tree or something on the left side I'll get on from the right side. It is nice to have the option.

It is easy enough to use either side on my JD855.....
Like said before...... I normally mount and dismount from the left side....
I was ask why I do that... Only answer I could think of was that is how you get on and off a horse....
And since the people that have ask know I grew up in Wyoming.....
It is also part to do with the fact one knee works better than the other.... And it is easier on both knees to use the left side...

Admittedly, I mount my bicycle from the right side. I don't know why. It may be because all of my bikes had kickstands mounted so as the bike leaned to the left. Why don't the put them on the right hand side? Why do NASCAR racers go counter clockwise, as does the traffic in skating rinks, and the horses and dogs at the tracks?
