The last time I used my L3010 HST I noticed a little fluid leaking around my right front tire. It was the first time I had noticed it dripping, but it only left about a 2" diameter spot on the concrete. After using it yesterday for some landscaping I noticed that it left a bigger spot, probably 4"-6" in diameter. The past two times I have used it have been in a real sandy soil. Could I have gotten some sand lodged in a seal and damaged it to cause this leak? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I will probably have plenty of time to work on it this weekend, because it is raining a lot right now, as it has been for some time now. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Thanks for any help.

dboone,

As a really simple check, did you make sure that your oil addition/vents on the axle are tight? My wife noticed a little oil underneath my BX2200 up front, and sure enough, the axle oil check/addition thingy was loose. I was happy she saw it then, versus me figuring it out when the part was laying somewhere on the property...

Just a thought, is the oil level in the axle above full? Could it be thermal expansion? I found that one of my fill plugs had become loose and a bit of fluid had leaked out.

It was raining last night when I got home last night, like it has been for a month it seems like. So I have not taken the time to check it out. My dad had actually borrowed my tractor yesterday while I was at work.

The sun has been coming out during the day, but when 5 o'clock rolls around the rain sets in. Has given me very little seat time here lately. I am hoping to get a break from the rain long enough to check things out one afternoon this week. If not I will pull it into my enclosed shop to check into it this weekend. I am hoping it is something simple!

Thanks for the suggestions. I have to remind myself to keep it simple every once in a while.

Everything is tight on my axle and the fluid level is fine. It is leaking at the very bottom. It looks to be around what appears to be a keyway slot. There doesn't appear to be any difference in between the left and right sides, but the right side drips just a little. I can't find any cracks or anything that would cause it to leak. Any suggestions?
