My new MF 1726E will be ready for its first service soon, so I was looking things over. The manual says to check the front axle oil by making sure the level is at the mid point of the front axle housing. But it doesn't tell specifically how to determine that. Can anyone steer me to information on this? Thnx.

You are making it to complicated, pull filler plug and look into housing... If really desperate use coat hanger wire or welding rod as dipstick....

On my 2310, once the front axle fill cover is removed, you can see down into the gears there. I just look to see that the oil is approximately half-covering the beveled axle gear. I bet your 1726 is similar.
