Just read my manual for my B7510HST again and it says that front ballast maximum is 165lbs. The bucket on the loader is about 125lbs. What I've done in the past is put 6 to 8 concrete blocks in the bucket when I'm using the bushhog on my slopes. I'm not sure what the total weight with the bucket and blocks are. So what's the deal here? My FEL can lift 770lbs but I should only carry 165lbs on the front as ballast? What am I missing?

My guess would be they mean 165 lbs on the front frame of the tractor.Such as cast weights etc.Not including the FEL.We will see what the others think
but thats what I would think.

I agree with Bedlam. Ballast is ballast NOT assuming you have your FEL attached. The FEL frame and bucket weigh a bunch and far exceeds your front ballast requirements.

Id also add that I don't think many have a loader, and still add the weights for ballast on the front.
The loader is somewhat a replacement for the ballast on the front.
