It's time to start pushing snow here in Utah, anyone know about what the front blade for the 2210 runs? Does it work well? I'm pushing snow with the FEL now, but really need the blade, don't want to fork out the big bucks for the snow blower since I only have about 100' of driveway. Thanks.

Toby,

The cost of the blade and hydraulic angling kit and mounting bracket will be around $1,000-$1,200, give or take a little bit. I used to own an X 595 and had the same set up for my tractor. It did a great job. The front blade is heavy enough to move gravel and do some light duty grading too. I have never owned a snowblower, but in less than really deep snow I think the front blade would do just as well, and one can use it for other jobs. Either way, it would really improve your worktime v. the FEL. I think it is a purchase strongly worth consideration.

You will love it for snow and light grading. Make sure you insert a rubber "sqeegee" if you are plowing pavement--especially asphault. The word "light" in the phrase "light grading" is the operant word. Moving loose gravel and soil around is about as far as you want to push it. This attachment is no 'dozer blade.

I echo the comments above on the front blade, awesome for snow. Here are some photos of my rubber install. I spent about $25 to include the rubber strip (new carriage bolts and purchased a horse stall mat {4' by 6', 3/4" thick} ).

I bought a Frontier rear blade for my 4010 for about $250. Have put a slit heater hose along its bottom edge and tacked it with Goop about every 10" or so, to protect my asphalt driveway. Didn't need protection on the driveway using just my FEL last winter. The driveway was rock hard. New surface in the spring though, not as hard this winter.

Plan to put a strip of heater hose along the front of the FEL, too.

Will let everyone know how the heater hose lasts. Didn't want to spend $40+ bucks on the horse mat and lug it back from TSC.
