Being out in California I am surprised that some "director" hasn't contacted you on doing a series. Basically cause I remember when the "Old Yankee Workshop" started and a few years later Norm was amazed at how a show that was supposed to last only a few seasons just kept on going. The producers figured out that people who have "zero" woodworking skills love to watch Norm build furniture from scratch. People with all levels of mechanical skill enjoy watching your repairs. Reading your threads is the best of both worlds Lots of fun and the reader doesn't even break a sweat! Thanks for sharing the documentation has got to take as much time as the repair itself. -Ed

I keep checking on RFD for something like that. A show with a guy who lives on some land, maybe raises a few animals and how he goes about fixing everything. Maybe build some different types of buildings, puts in a driveway , road and clears trails in the woods, builds bridges and installs culverts and maybe digs a pond, clears a fields and plants some crops. He's have to have a dozen different tractors at least, a few ATV's and UTV's too!!!!

I think a show like that would be just about the best thing on TV ever.

I am with you Eddie. I get mad at RFD now, it seem like all they show is auctions. I want to see more talking tractors and stuff like that.

He could call it This **** Old Farm

OK, I'll try something like that.
I'll have to call my Hollywood buddy if he's still alive.
I would have to mount a cam on the tractor to show how I screw it up first. That might be more fun than the repairs!!!:D

Now I'm wondering if that's all it would take. Have a camera crew go to a different place for a few days, or weekend, and film one of you guys doing what you do there. How many episodes are in a season? Lets say 36. Four weeks and nine months. Spending two days at a guys place like Rob should give you at least two yours of good, interesting film. That's four episodes. Just go to nine places and do the same thing.

How easy would it be to find nine guys on here who you'd like to see at work on their place?

Somebody needs to start a TV show!!!!

First there's only 26wks and most shows take a full week to tape an eposide. Have you contacted Jimna or Kama for sponsorship? (mention ya go big 3 if they don't want to play ball) and always have your lawyer make sure that you get residuals for every airing of the show (John Travola raked in a bundle for that talking baby movie he did and Bill Cosby had a few $80million yrs on reruns) Could I suggest you talk to Larry (GuglioLS) about being your agent? Good luck looking forward to seeing the shows on PBS too! -Ed
