Has anyone tried modifying a front mount stump grinder such as Textron (Steiner/Ransomes) or Hustler to their front mount tractor?

Power Trac also makes a stump grinder. It is hydraulic. The small one for the 400 series requires 8GPM at 2500PSI. Someone on TBN put one on the backhoe of their Magna Trac. The trouble with a front mounted stump grinder that I would think might be a problem is that you could go forward and backwards, and up and down pretty easily, but side to side would require numerous repositions of the tractor. The articulation of the Power Trac units makes the side to side no problem, according to some of the users that have them.

Steiner and Ventrac articulated tractors also have front mounted stump grinders available. I have used mine extensively and am very pleased with the operation. See attached photo showing a Steiner stump grinder on my Ventrac. The thing out front is a large mirror so the operator can see the cutting operation clearly.
