front quick hitch ice?

/ front quick hitch ice? #11
In 10 deg weather, how does it melt in the first place? Seems at some point the hitch must have been warm, and then parked in the cold.

A pic of the problem might help.

The hydraulics give off enough heat to melt show that comes in contact with the hydraulic cylinder.

Okay. I've a Deere 4300, and have never experienced ice buildup on the rams. Seems putting the rams through full extension and retraction just before shutting down the engine would purge any collection of slush that might turn to ice in storage. Just a thought. :)
