I have a TC 29D with FEL and I love it in all ways except the front tires..they are small and when I have a load in the bucket on the FEL they really mash down and one of these days I am afraid it will break the seal..I am wondering if I can replace just the front tires or front tires and wheels with a larger size without screwing anything else up..Any thoughts. ?

With any 4WD you have to respect the tire diameters otherwise you will damage the front differential.
That being said, changing tire sizes becomes a costly proposition as rears also need attention in most cases and that generally involves new rims as well.
In reality you have to stick with factory supplied sizes.

Do a search on TBN as there is many posts on that subject.

Bob, make sure the inflation is up where it should be and be respectful of the FEL limits and you should be okay.

Have you considered foam filing the front tires? may be a bit cheaper proposition.

OK - Thanks for the advice fellas...I will keep the air pressure up and check into filling the front tires with foam and best not to mess with changing the size of the front tires and wheels...got it...thanks again..

Bob, I run about 35 psi in my front tires to ensure they are firm even under loads. If you let them stay too low, you may find that they curl under and pop right off the rim bead in a tight turn. If that happens, Mr. Murphy will make sure it happens at the worst possible time.:(

Thanks Jim..but let me ask you this....You have a much bigger NH tractor than mine..my front turf tires are23x8.50-14 ...do you think mine would be OK with 35 PSI as well ? I remember when the dealer came to pick my tractor up to add the front end loader and strapped it down on his truck my front tires flattened out and the driver said that happens all the time since folks don't keep enough air pressure in them so I am guilty of not checking often enough..I admit it..LOL..but do you think they will handle 35 PSI ?

Bob, you can safely run 35 psi in those tires even though the sidewall will tell you 30 psi max. I have a 1920 with 27x8.50-15 turfs and have to run 35 psi to keep the tires up. The other thing you can look for is a 6 ply tire that has the same diameter. Bill

JC,

I have a TC-33DA (same front tires as your TC-29D). I foam filled them and it was a good move. No more worries about flats (I had two prior to filling them) and they don't flatten out anymore, even with a full FEL bucket.

It also makes the tractor more stable by (slightly) lowering the center of gravity.

I admit that I assumed you were talking about industrial tires instead of turfs. I would not exceed the 30 psi. I apologize for not being more careful with my numbers.
