What price did you get on a front blade?

I got 2 prices. I asked for quotes on a 54 inch & 60 incl blade. With & without the optional hydraulic angle. Prices without. 1500 & change for the 54, 1800 & change on the 60 without. The hydraulic angle added 400 to each.

I'm off a few dollars & threw away the exact quote. But those numbers are close. I could have saved a few hundred dollars at Lemons in WV. But, even at that number it was more than I want to spend right now.

I talked myself out of the setup mostly because of the need to remove the loader & front grill guard. every time I wanted to switch back & forth. I'm not aware of any setup that would allow me to mount a plow to the front of the bucket. Or, remove the bucket & use the loader arms. Did I miss something?

Go to Curtiscabs.com. They have plows that fit to the frontend loader for the same kind of money. Northern Products has a bucket mount blade that they call a "pusher". That product is about $1000.

This is why I love this site!
Ever wonder how people figured things out before the internet:D

1*I eliminated that issue by Putting the blade on a BX1500 instead of the BX23.
2*Even that arrangement would still involve switching back and forth or removing and replacing.
With my method all I need to do is switch tractors.

:)
