front wheel fell off-1500-4x4

so ,Dan I'M THINKING YOU HAVE had one of these apart before. If so how is the best way to remove the shaft. I see four bolts that face the ground that hold a cover. I'm thinking their might be a snap ring that holds it in? I have tryed to send pic's but they say they are to big. Something more I need to learn.

There is a nut that holds the stub axle in, you will have to disassemble the gear box to remove the stub axle. The parts manual has exploded views of it.
