I have the right front wheel on my YM1510D that is pointing outwards a little ( see picture attached). The left one is normal. What could be the reason for it? Both front wheels have an oil leak aswell. I believe i need to change the seals on the front knuckles. Someone who has expierence with this. I am a bit reluctant to start this job. Thank you all for the advice.

If it's pointing out it either has a bent tie rod or just needs an alignment. Even if it is bent you probably can just realign it if it doesn't hit anything. If it does take it off and beat it back straight.

The oil leak probably has nothing to do with the alignment unless the bearings are gone.

The top of the tire leans out on the 1510D. It is built into it. If it is not leaning out your bearings are gone. Knuckle seals are not hard to change but be careful you don't have slack from worn bearings or bushings. Yanmar KNuckle Seal Replacement Instructions.

As Winston said, the leaning is normal.
Its being exaggerated because you have soft and taller turf tires on it.
Fix the leaks and you will be fine.

Is there then maybe a problem on the other wheel because there is almost no leaning on the other wheel?

If it doesn't have the lean then bearings are shot in one of them. Jack it up and start trying to see if one or other has play

Thank you for the info.
I jacked up both front wheels but none of them has a play on it.
I will try to fix the oil leak on the knuckles on both wheels first by adding Lucas oil power steering stop leak. How much Lucas oil is recommended to be added. Is there a maximum that can be added?
Thank you

I don't know the YM1510D as well as I do the US models. Can someone tell me which model is closest?

Also, Jjpbe if you want to take a series of diagnostic photos of both sides we might be able to help a little more. Obviously if the two front tires have a different lean then something is wrong with one of them. It could be in the bearings, the spindle, or simply in the steering tie rods or ends. Something isn't right. If you do, take the same shots on both sides and then showing both at the same time. A view directly over the axle looking down would be helpful, too.

The axle end leak doesn't worry me so much. At least you can tell that there is oil in the front end. Leaky seals often mean that the bearings have slop, but worn bearings are a much better deal than a worn differential from not having enough oil.

I don't know what that the various "stop leaks" are actually trying to do to the type of seal that you find in that steering axle and that bothers me. I've never had luck with magic seal fixes in a bottle... and before I used it I'd first want to know just what the sealer was doing. Instead of trying some magic potion to affect the seals, my preference would be to go to a much heavier & more viscous gear lube. Yanmar specs allow for a wide range of front axle lubes.

Thank you rScotty,
Any other thoughts regarding the use of Lucas Oil power steering stop leak in the front gear ( front axle oil ) in order to stop the oil leaks on both front Knuckles of my YM1510D? Is it a good idea or not?

I believe the 187D would be the closest cousin the 1510D. However, I thing the 4 wheel drive is different.

I sort of agree with Scotty about the bottle fixes, however, through the years I have read of numerous declaring success on their knuckle seal. I personally would not be afraid to try it if the leak is minimal but would probably not try with a big leak.

I still believe if you have one wheel standing straight and one leaning you are bound to have something wrong.
