I've actually given up on box blades. I now use a Reveal 4-n-1 for all my grading, leveling, etc. I also use it for the dressage arena, so it gets some pretty heavy usage several times a week. If you don't use it often or hard, then a lighter one might work. Check out some other brands of box blades too... like the bush hog, etc.

Or maybe just keep using the smaller boxblade on your smaller tractor. :D

I use my FEL also for the rough stuff.

Need 2 box blades - I use them as ballast boxes, etc.

Darin, just remember, they are much stronger pulling them forward than pushing stuff backward.

My rule of thumb for me is, I try to only push disturbed dirt backwards with my BB. The BB, 3pt, and linkage needs to be VERY heavy duty to be able to back push undisturbed dirt. Not to mention buried stuff such as roots, rocks etc.

If the main use is for ballast, then I would just get the one that weighs the right amount. :D
