Unfortunately it's thin there too...

Looking at the MX series, the deck gearbox support appears to have that weakness as well...

I've read a lot of belly aching about the x13 rotary's, and I agree that the skirt around the back is too thin (bent mine up immediately trying to back into brush and getting the skirt into either dirt, rocks, or stumps). I solved it by having the welding shop weld a 1 1/2" square tubing to the bottom of the rear skirt and the angled side skirts. Have used it extensively since and it seems bullet proof now. Can back into and push over 2" trees with no problem. I am satisfied and have nothing to whine about with my 513. I don't mean to offend anyone either. Just want to let you all know there are some positive thoughts out here too.

New John Deere tractor buyers may want to consider including some of the Frontier implements in their purchase as a package deal... "to sweeten the pie"...

I would classify most of the Frontier implements as Medium Duty that should last as long as the tractor... and of course we all know this line is openly manufactured by Woods for John Deere...
