Well, I now have a MX6 hooked up to my tractor! Talk about one well thought-out design that appears to be built very strong. I will not know what JD wants as far as the upgrade cost until sometime next week. If it is too high I will bring it back but for now I'm gonna shred the heck out of as much acreage as possible!
The thing that really gets my goat is that if the salesmen over at the dealership really did their job in the beginning I would have purchased the MX6 and not the RC2072 and this thread would likely not exist. However, I am rather frustrated that JD would have a known problem with a product, not advise their customers and expect their dealers to keep pushing it. Yes, this may have been caused by a bad batch of steel and not the design. I guess that is what a company risks when they cut costs but when it bites them in the butt we shouldn't feel sorry for them and they should make it right with their customers.
