I doubt if the needle greaser is going to get grease in where it needs to be but I could be wrong. It requires a lot of pressure to get the grease in between the shaft and bearings especially when clearances are tight when they are new. The needle might work better after the clearances increase with use.
I have 3 grease guns and only one works reasonably well on the sickle bar mower -- 18 volt cordless which puts out around 3000 psi.
