Frozen Tires

I have don't fill the tires. Half the time I want it to weigh less, not more. And flats are a hassle with fill. If it needs weight I just carry something heavy. Otherwise, 4wd and a diff lock do better for our use.
I do have a set of front chains for the oddball big snowstorm we get about once a decade.

When I bought my tractor, my dealer in Durango (Bayfield), CO filled my tires with a product named Bio-ballast. It’s an organic non-toxic and non corrosive product that is far less messy than rim guard.
