...Besides, I answered your question on why I hate skid steers...

Yes Sir... you sure did... you're a corker Mark... /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Answer... Dunno... ?

How do you like that? Never even seen one in person... never used one... just going on faith... of other peoples' comments...

I need something fast for my girl's basketball games to start with, something that will operate in low light levels without any flash, something that will zoom close-up and see the pimples on the basketball flying through the air... as my kid rebounds or intercepts it... /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

Then... I can try it on some tractor projects... /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I believe this unit is a look-alike to the 2100 but has the speed added to it... (don't hold me to it... I'm a camera neophyte... see this little pinky fingernail... that's everything I know about camera's... just slightly less than my knowledge of tractors and stuff.... /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif)

I'll resume later, got to bring one of my kids to work... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Continuing for John.../w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

The E100RS and the UZ2100 (I have a 2100) are similar. However,

2100-SmartMedia only
E100-Compact Flash or SM

E100-can take 15 fps action shots.

E100-1.5 megapixels
2100 - 2.1 megapixels

E100-1/10000 sec shutter speed
2100-1/800 sec

Yo, Big John, try Focuscamera.com or call 800-221-0828. They still list one. Also B&H Photo at 212-444-5022, listed at 599 dollars. Regency Camera 800-899-7994 list them. Tri-state at 212-633-2290, 800-353-7265. Hey, since you all is camera experts----SHUTTERBUG---a magazine sold widely at all news stands and Barnes and Nobles and other such places--thousands of listings and I am sure some one would be able to find you an obsolete digi cam somewhere in Shutterbug.

Re:E-100RS en route

John doesn't even have his camera yet /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif, but here's a picture from it /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif!
(It's been shrunk significantly for easy handling.)

The camera is on its way via FedEx to NY from Dallas/w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif! Have fun with it, John!

Since this is a family site, I almost felt compelled to "moderate" that one, John. But under the circumstances, I think we'll let it slide. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Congrats on the camera! And yes, you do owe Bill, and others who went out of their way to help you out. Betcha some pictures of tractor stuff and girls' basketball would do the trick.

BTW -- I have the Olympus C-2500L (old technology by now) and have nothing but good things to say about it. You should love your new toy, once you figure out how all the features work.

Re:E-100RS en route

Yeah, now John will finally be able to attach some pictures to his posts. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Do you think I'm what they call an "enabler"?
Encouraging his already out-of-control photo fetish? /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Hey guys - this is a new millineum!! Guys can hug guys!! It's not a big deal - well, is it?? /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

We have a family friend who feels compelled - yes, compelled to hug everyone in his sight. One of those people who is your friend for life the minute he meets you. He puts the blame on his Italian ancestory. Not to sure about that one. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif It's fun to watch some of his new found "friends" cringe in horror (especially men /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif) when they are given this big ol' bear hug by a 6 foot crazy man!!! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

John, how do you like the camera? I was just at the DPReview site and see that Nikon will be selling their CoolPix 5700 in the states soon. 5 megapixel and an 8x zoom. Not quite the zoom of my UZ2100 but the most zoom available. I got my eye on it. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
