Looking at a new Kubota L3940. FST or Glideshift. Any thoughts on the transmissions. Thanks.

I have a 3130 with the GST and I like it a lot. It is like a power shifter where you don't have to use the clutch on the floor boards. You just use the shifter on the colum for rowRD nd reverse and set the speed [transmission gear] with the side lever. Works for me.

For me it would be GST or HST the FST is no where in my book. There are times I wish I had the HST but the GST is a good solid connection between your engine and wheels for pulling. The only negative is when you turn tractor engine off it will free wheel with the GST if you do not set parking brake, if your are always on hills look at the HST.

If you are doing much FEL work HST. One hand on FEL stick, one on steering wheel and foot decides forward and reverse and speed.
