Fuel can filter for diesel?

Are they that good?

I read somewhere that a common problem with them is the seal leaking around the threaded nozzle ring whenever you have the button pushed and fuel is coming out.

I can't those fuel cans anywhere in Canada, so I would have to get it sent to my post office at the border and go pick it up.

I was looking for one myself.

Apparently they are not legal in Canada. Vessey's seeds was going to carry them as part of the Mantis tiller line I think, so I stopped in when I was in PEI to get one. I was told they had to send them back due to them being unapproved. That was last year so maybe things have changed.

Well I can see room for improvement, but the nospill are all that I use any more. Are they perfect? no, but pretty sweet. I'd like to see a see a separate fill cap so the spout can remain in place. What I do is when I fill the cans I turn them upside down briefly to be sure that the oring is seated. I have 4 of the 2.5 gallon cans, two 1.25 gallon and one 5 gallon gas plus one 5 gallon diesel. I gave one of the 2.5 gallon cans to my brother. I don't use my cans too often, but when I do they work quite well and I don't stink like gas. I have an old can with the spout stored inside and I always stink like gas when I use that one.

I have my own 575 gallon diesel tank so I seldom use the diesel can, but it is here if I need it.

These cans are good enough that they get a Honda oficial part number in fact my 5 callon can came with a Honda sticker on it.

I got a Honda labeled one for my chain saws. I love it and have had no problems. I never overflow the saws now.

I bought a diltered funnel fron CDN Tire, has a shut off on the bottom. Buy diesel from a busy truck stop and run conditioner year round. Also change fuel filter annually. Have zero troubles.

Hiya,

If you want to make sure you filter the fuel, get a deep funnel and stick a automotive paint strainer in it, pour through the strainer and your good. They will catch just about anything and they will also plug very quick if you have clouding/jelling or any alge. If you plug the strainer, you have a fuel issue.
