Oil & Fuel Fuel Filter Fracture

Well on hour 47 or 48 of my B7500 while bush hogging the hillside a stick/limb/CREATURE whapped the clear plastic/glass (whatever that is) cup on my fuel filter. I had just filled the tank as I started an hour or so earlier and could smell diesel fuel but I had it on my hands so I thought, but it was a strong smell and then I noticed my fuel guage was nearly on empty.... Zooooooooooom down the hill to the garage to discover a trial of fuel behind me. A bucket and some pliers removed the fuel line and plugged it with a bolt.
Now, I guess I'll do my own 50 hour service instead of the dealer and replace the cup.
Any ideas on costs?

*cough* Ah, nevermind. After a shower. A couple Diet Cokes I decided to figure out how the cup comes off. Easy. It turns. After a close look, feeling around, filling the cup up with fuel I can't find the crack.
Hmmmm. I reconnect every thing and all is well. Hmmmmmm. I reckon I knocked either the fuel line loose or cup loose causing the fuel loss.
I did the bleed the fuel system as the manual says (seems lame to me), but it appears to have did the trick and the motor runs as good as before. I get a bit excited.

When the dealer service guy swapped the fuel filter on Lucy (B7500), he didn't bother bleeding the system. I asked him about it, and he said it really wasn't necessary. He told me it would stumble a little after startup, but would self-bleed in a hurry. He was right. Lucy started right up, stumbled a couple of times, and the air was gone.
