yes dart...looks like that but smaller. haven't been able to get back to it today but looking forward to it tomorrow morning. but there is no wire bail or nut. the filter itself just slides onto the fuel feed tube that goes to the pump. then the plastic (not glass) see through bowl, the oring and the screw band. I've removed it before and replaced it although its been a while since.

i put it all together today but i need to get a new battery to crank it enough to get the air out. i'll go to advance tomorrow.

Aren't the filter and injector pump below the level of the tank? If so, you just gravity bleed it.

filter yes. pump...i don't know. my past experience with this has been that i have to loosen the fuel lines between the pump and the injectors and let the air out while cranking.

ok...this has concluded i think. i got a new battery and got the tractor going good but now i smell like diesel fuel because when i was bleeding the air out it spit all over me.

That's an unnecessary step. If the pump is primed, (properly bled), it will pump fuel and force any air out through the cylinders before it starts.

well Norm...the next time this comes up you are welcome to come by and give your method a try. the beer's on me.
o...btw...the seat fell off when i was tilling today. LOL

Machinery has a way of getting even!

I learned something new here. You may not have to bleed all the injectors one at a time till they have no air left like I was taught. Well, at lest if the tank is on top like on my 'bota.
