Oil & Fuel Fuel gage question

My gage stopped working the other day. Finally found the plug into the cluster had come loose. Pushed it up and it worked again fine.

My question: Does a clip or something hold it in place that fell off or something. I didn't see it but I didn't really look thoroughly either.

I am not sure what model of kubota you have, but mine (BX24) does have a white clip part of the panel cluster to hold the wire plug in place. I assume most kubotas are the same way.

Where is the access to this plug? My BX24 fuel gauge started wigging out this Past Fall too...has been fine for 3 years but now only seems to get about a "half" reading even though it's full to the brim...

right under the dash panel. you gotta remove the screen cowl,open the hood,remove the steering wheel nut, pull the steering wheel, the bolts holding the black plastic dash (i think 6 of them). I pulled mine to inspect the FEL rods linkage and its not that hard. Before I reinstalled the steering wheel, I covered the geared part of shaft with never seize so its easier to pull next time.

I have a BX2230. Forgot to add that. I didn't see a clip though. Now I'm wondering if it's in the compartment behind the battery or something...
