fuel gage

has anyone had a fuel gage that does not read right? I ran out of fuel when it said 1/3 . I was going down hill , but thats not to handy when you think you still have a hour of running time left.
Does anyone know what the average gph is on the rtv ?

I can't say what the fuel burn rate is for the RTV, but seems to be fairly conservative. I have a BX that has a similiar 3 cy diesel and it burns about 1/2 gallon per hour when working. I would guess the RTV would be even better.
