I put a 600 cfm Holly on a Ford 5.0 and sadly discovered that it was too much carb for that size engine and I had to jet it down quite a bit
so it would stop flooding out. Actually, I would have gotten better performance if I had gone with a 500cfm or smaller 2-bbl.

Whatever the problem is I hope that it is simple and inexpensive to fix. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I just spoke to a guy at a speedshop I do some business w/ and he seems to think it could be a casting defect. He says it is more common than most people think.

There's nothing quite like quailty control. I don't suppose there was a little piece of paper in the box that said "Inspected by No. 8" was there? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
