Ok here's the deal guys. I sent the wife out to get some fuel for the house. We've been using dyed diesle. I thought I'd scam a little for the BX. Well it's a good thing I owned up to the wife. It turn out she got dyed kero instead this time because it was cheaper. I only put in about 1 &1/2 gal, and I'm only up to a half a tank. Should I just top her off with the right stuff or should I drain out the tank./w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

For winter use, many people use a 50% blend of regular diesel and kerosene. Fill the rest of the tank up with diesel and you'll be fine. No need to drain the tank.

As Mike already said... I'm running a blend of diesel and kerosene... as of this week 50/50... and change according to weather... colder will get higher % of kerosene and vice versa... warmer less... until springtime comes back... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif (I have never used any diesel additive... but I use fuel fast enough... so it's never stale nor sitting for months to gain any moisture... otherwise I would)

So... being in the NE US (PA)... you won't even miss a beat this winter with your "winter blend" you inadvertently stumbled upon... /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Only problem w/ kerosene is it
has less BTU or makes less power.
OTR semis get less MPG because of
this.
So if u notice a little less power straight
diesel fuel will restore it.
