In late November I was visiting with my large farmer family in their office. They took a phone call from their fuel supplier asking if they wanted to contract fuel again? The Elder gathered the info and said he'd call back. They discussed their situation. How many gallons they would need for the upcoming year based on how much Fall work they had gotten done. Discussed price and whether fuel would go up or down. Jokingly asked me about fuel prices? I said it will not go down under the current administration.

After a couple minutes of discussion they called the supplier back and contracted 250,000 gallons of dyed diesel. The price was .68 cents per gallon less than I was paying for dyed fuel in small quantities at the local MFA.

Last week I was at a birthday party with them. I asked if they thought they did good with their fuel contract. They raised their Beers in salute with huge smiles.

Good to see the producer win once in awhile.

Double that this year... Maybe triple Richard. I'm close to that myself. Actually, I don't want to look.
I normally pay no attention to fuel prices. People will ask what I'm paying, I have no idea. I'm not a wasteful person. I generally do what I want to do with no consideration of fuel costs. I'll be more frugal about Diesel Fuel this year. I normally brush cut my CRP. I'm burning this year.

I can adjust and survive. The young farmer carrying a high debt ratio cannot. It's going to be a rough year around here for those young families.

said previously, there will be no idling to keep the cabs cold when I'm not in them and no long warm up's either. I will say the Kubota's are pretty miserly on fuel anyway. Least the pre emissions ones like we have are. Don't know about the new ones other than injecting raw fuel into the cannister seems wasteful to me. All for pollution reduction....lol

Hmmmmm, I wonder why they're “suddenly interested in more drilling”
Suddenly? Didn’t I post links showing increased drilling rigs for year end 2021? Or didn’t you bother to read facts?
