Fuel consuption will have a lot to do with how far (if at all) the pump has been turned up. Many farmers that still use 1066's will have them pumping out 150 to 175 hp at times. They drink the fuel when operated like that.
How big of a plow are you getting? Around here, a 1066 (when plows were still commonly used) would handle 6X16"'s in the toughest of conditions. (20' to 22' disc) That would be an ideal tractor for a chisel plow. Most everyone here would pull a 12' to 14' chisel with one. That'll make the black smoke roll!
I'd think if you'd use plow/disc/chisel under those sizes, you should get reasonable fuel economy for a tractor that size. You don't want to get done TOO fast
