Fuel prices!

Felt like I was derailing handirifles thread on his duramax purchase. I know a lot if us travel to other parts of the country. So let's forget brands for a while and keep up with fuel price! Warn each other of good fuel stops or bad! Gas is around 3.09 a gallon and diesel is around 3.49 a gallon here in northeast arkansas give or take a few! LUTT

Cheapest gas in my local area is $3.65 with most places 12 to 14¢ higher than that. Diesel pushing $4.50 if it isn't already there or slightly higher.

I paid 3.14 per gal for gas and 3.75 for diesel yesterday.....Ya know, I was just thinking yesterday . Back when I was a kid ,gas stations used to try to earn your business giving out promotional items & such. They actually wanted your business. Today, These filling stations couldn't care less if you buy gas from them or go down the street and buy from someone else. Just the other day I tried to fill up and something was wrong with the card reader at the pump . I went inside and told the attendant I wanted to fill up. She said ,how much do you want ? I said I don't know , I'm going to fill up. She said I can't just turn the pump on and let you fill up you have to leave a deposit and Ill set the pump to turn off at that amount. I said forget it ,and went down the road to another station and filled up. See what I mean??? They don't care if you buy from them or not. It wasn't like that in the old days

Seems fuel costs rise just before a snow storm (in middle of one now) around here. Reg gas cheapest @ $3.29, diesel yesterday was $4.09.

We used a set of dinner plates for a good number of years that my MIL collected at the Shell station where she always bought gas. We even had a gravy boat, sugar bowl, creamer--it was fancy. :laughing:

Yeah, I hate that pre-pay deal too. Worst here is the two diesel stations I could use don't have pay at the pump for diesel, just gas. One will see you at the pump and turn it on, the other you have to go in and give them your driver's license or credit card before they turn on the pump. Both owned by the same outfit.

Filled up my diesel truck yesterday, $4.25 per gallon. Did my gas truck today, $3.57.

This is the Indy area. I use Gas Buddy app on my phone to buy at the best price.

I hadn't followed diesel prices for a little while and was surprised to see it $1.00 a gallon higher than gas. Every time I think about buying a diesel powered small vehicle the price of diesel throws a wet towel on the idea.
