LBrown59,
Only thing I'd have done different is to have plumed in another hose on the pump.

What do you mean by plumbing another hose on the pump?

I get my fuel delivered even though It's only 25 to 55 gallon at a time. Have you checked that out.?

Not yet, but I will call around to check the price and minimum quantity to be delivered.

Thanks,
Joe

castiman,
I don't want to sound stupid but what is off road diesel, and where could I get it,is it less expensive.

Off road diesel is a non taxed (road tax) fuel and is dyed red. It can be used for any equipment not registered for on road use. It's usually cheaper because it's not taxed and you should be able to get it at your local oil supply. Check in your Yellow Pages under "OIL".

"Off Road" diesel is just diesel that does not have the road use taxes on it and it is dyed red to show that. It is illegal to use on the road (like in a diesel car or truck) but legal for off road use like farm use, tractors, etc.

Around here and probably most other places It's really on road fuel that has a red dye in it that they don't charge you highway tax on because you don't use it in vehicles driven on the highways streets and roads. It's used in tractors and other construction equipment as well as a fuel for furnaces stoves and heaters for homes and other buildings.
Some service stations have it .
You can also buy it from fuel suppliers/distributors - look them up in the yellow pages.
It runs 30 to 50 cents less per gallon less because of the tax savings.

I'm talking about the hose looped around the green hanger.
The hose has a white end on it and is clipped to the stud near the ceiling.
I use that hose for pumping fuel from any other container besides the set ups drums.
To unload your 75 gallon tank off your truck I'd simply drop this hose in the tank and pump it empty.

Here's two more pictures that show a better view of the plumbing.

There are only 2 hoses connected to this pump.
1 goes to the top outlet side of the pump and the other hose goes to the bottom inlet side of the pump.
Every pump and storage set up system I'v seen and read about on here except one is plumbed this way.

There are 3 hoses connected to this pump.
1 goes to the left outlet side of the pump and the other 2 hoses go to the right inlet side of the pimp
This and one other set up are the only ones I know of that are plumbed like this.

I see what you're saying now. With that setup you can pull from one container to fill another container. That's a good idea since yours are not portable. I designed mine to be portable so it is easily loaded and unloaded onto a truck or trailer, even when full. What kind of pump are you using, and where did you get it from?

Very nice job. It looks professional.

I'm a big fan of saddle tanks and used two of them for my fuel storage. I like that they wont rust and can stay out in the elements year round without a worry. I added a 12 volt fuel pump to one of mine and connected them together with three, 3/4 inch hose lines. I fill one tank and pump from the other.
