Matter of composition versus interpretation I guess. As I said, if you've already tried and found they fit without crossthreading - fine. And it seems you're clarifying a bit now. But earlier you made it sound like you were going to remove the hood and/or cowl and disconnect all the instrumentation wiring just to get to the sending unit. All I was trying to tell you was that I did the very same thing as you, without any disassembly whatsoever. I disconnected 3 wires and removed a few machine screws. Installed a freshly cut gasket of more suitable material than OE, and put it all back together. In all, maybe an hour's workI'm not sure why you're not understanding what I'm writing .
