Fuel Tanks

I have a couple diesel tanks at the farm that haven't held diesel in a while and have developed rust on the inside. I plan on putting these tanks back into service and was wondering if the rust could cause issues. I will have a filtered pump on them, and the rust is not truly extensive.

What do you think?

If you're intent on using them then I'd double filter the fuel and change the filters often. Eventually the rust will be filtered out.
