Looking for opinions on 12V fuel transfer pump. Have looked thru reviews on line and who knows for accuracy. Fill-rite always shows up but they are also the most expensive. The extreme Power US gives me a hint that its made overseas like HF and just a name. Not against if its overseas, just want to know will it last. The third model been looking at is Fuel works

My 20+ year old Fill Rite pump has been flawless, and is mounted in my second truck. Money well spent.
I use a GPI hand pump on my gasoline tank, and although it gets less use, it works well. Early on I used a HF hand pump that lasted less than a year.

Thanks, I have a hand pump just getting real tired of pumping.
Will look into gpi

Kind of look at fill-rite like JD, good stuff but paying more for the name or green paint

I have a cheap $65 pump/nozzle I bought off eBay I've been pretty happy with. Been using it for about 3 years.

EDIT: If I ever try to recommend a cheap china product again somebody please stop me. Went to fill my tractor this morning and had to replace hose o-rings again. After I got all the hoses to stop leaking the pump started leaking out the motor end.

Am I going to spring for a $300 transfer pump. NOT LIKELY! I'm off to ebay for a cheap replacement. You can get the same pump less hoses for about $35.

I recently bought one of those $10 D cell operated Harbor Freight pumps for pumping gas from 5 gallon cans into the lawn equipment. That is a great little back saver. It WILL siphon so if you get one make sure you use it below the tank level or it won't stop after you get it primed.

Been looking at a lot of them and comparing specs, and it does look like might go with fill rite, if for any other reason the quality is known.

My auto shut off is my arm right now :) it gets kind of sore

The $10 DC pump sounds like I'll look into that because of the same back issue, thanks

That would be good for small amounts.

I have 2 GPI 15GPM 12V DC pumps on 2 of my trucks. Never a problem. They are mounted in Dee Zee aluminum transfer tanks. I got them at Tractor Supply.
Putting a 106 gallon Dee Zee and a GPI 20GPM with a 1” hose for my new RAM 5500.
