Actually - when/if it ever does get that cold ( -20F ) I have no reason to be outside. I'm retired and have no need to be plowing snow at those temps. I have no livestock to feed. A big mug of hot chocolate, laced with Jack Daniels - look out the bay windows at the frozen wonderland.
I'm also retired supposedly, now I'm over to the farm more then before, the worse the weather the more I rely on my tractors and trucks to start and be able to work.
Thats also when it's most likely to be power outages and it seems like more stuff breaks down and needs help then.
Although it's rare fortunately I have seen -40F here and -30'sF quite often my stuff has to be able to start in those times.
