A customer of mine sent me this pic last week telling me he wanted to be able to push it with his Bobcat skid-steer.

I had no idea at first how I was going to accomplish it. This is what I came up with, though my first thought was to weld it to the bucket.

I think it turned out pretty well, the customer was very happy.

Nice welds. Attachment looks like something from a horror movie...

I bet he will soon want a tongue jack on the roller, too. It looks heavy :)

Yeah, we already talked about that, probably when I'm out there in the next couple of weeks doing some other work.

That looks like an awful big load for the skidsteer as the weight has a lot of inertia. How does it handle it?

He drove it a little while I was there and seemed very happy with how it handled.

Here's my setup for a 2" receiver on the FEL of my 2008 Mahindra 5525. Just welded two 3/4" hex bolts to the reinforced top edge of the bucket to attach the receiver assembly.

I'd rather pull it with a tractor but boy could I make use of that item.
Great job.

Might be fun to see it work down grade, great weld job.

Yeah, there is hardly a flat spot on his property. He's in the process of replacing 600+ ft of driveway up to his house. He should get good use out of that roller.

I don't even want to think about what would happen if that broke off facing uphill! I can't imagine how it turns, since Bobcats don't have steer wheels.

He keeps the roller downhill. I watched him back it up his curvy driveway. It really seemed to handle it just fine. It pivots on the pin and steers without a problem.

I did send him a text this morning recommending that he definitely keep the roller downhill and though I have faith in my welding, if something were to go wrong I'd rather see the roller in his neighbor's pool, than having it harpoon him.
