I run my fan all the time. The small fractional HP motor doesn't use enough power to show on the bill. Maintains a more even heat in the house and keeps the electronic air cleaner working on the air all the time.

Good point. I noticed the exact same thing; heat was more even. Extra electric for fan running could be mitigated some because , I believe, cycling
on and off uses a surge of electric for starting each cycle? Maybe, fan last longer too. But, they usually last long time.
My first heating was ceiling cable heat. When I built the electric company wanted us to use electric. We were offered big discount for being all electric home. Somewhere along the line, the electric company took back the discount. I say, "they snuck the raise on bill". I switched to heat pumps. Zoned heating areas in order to adjust temperatures during daytime and nite.
Later I got some gas wells. I have an allowance from gas well for home use. In air conditioners air handlers we placed heat exchangers heated with water from gas fired boiler.
My best heat, In my opinion, was ceiling cable. No air blowing around. Never need to paint. No one smokes here. Under tables didn't heat so good. It was expensive.
Each room or area had a thermostat. Only fully heated rooms that we used at that time. Nite or day adjusted. Our electric cable heat is still in place inclining. I is emergency heat in event our gas well is interrupted.
So that's the long story.. Fan on always is worth experimenting with. Cheers....Coffeeman
