future of new holland compacts

LS makes the current Boomer 25, 30, 35, 40 and 50. Rumor has it that CNH is going back to ISM for their compacts in the near future since LS decided to come to the US and start selling the same tractors direct under the LS label for a lot cheaper than CNH. I just bought an LS 4047 which is the identical tractor to a Boomer 50 except a different hood, stickers, extra rear remote and a stronger loader.

I do not know really where New Holland is headed but I will say they have lost allot of market share to Deere and Kubota as far as market share goes. I think that is a shame because they use too especially in the eighties have a good amount of compact market share. I hope they turn things around because I think its pretty bad when you see a New Holland dealer decide to sell Kubota, Mahindra, or Kioti tractors instead of push there main line of New Holland tractors. I really think Case New Holland has never been near as good of a deal for the Ford tractor heritage as they where to International Harvester fans. I do know that Ford wanted there name to eventually disappear from the New Holland tractors along with a different blue paint. I was and still am a big Ford tractor fan but there is not really anything left of the original Ford tractors. I would like to see them some how push the heritage more.

Having had two FORD 7700's and two 3000's back in the good ole days, I couldn't agree more.

The weird thing was I went to my Dealer hoping to get a price and test drive a New Holland and the Sales guy tells me about all the problems with them and shows me Kioti tractors which I was pricing also. I still don't get it. The only single brand dealer I know of is Deere which wanted way to much.

My local NH dealer also sells Kubota, has for a decade or more. Doesn't seem that odd when auto dealers sometimes sell competing brands too, as in Lincoln-Hyundai, Buick/GMC-Volkswagen-Kia, BMW-Mercedes-Toyota locally with singular addresses/showrooms. Then there are a few with adjacent showrooms/adresses and each their own 'marquis' under the same guy's name.

I bought a Shibaura/NH in May(?) this year and was told it'd be among the last from the source I'd come to favor. My T1520 is definitely 'light duty', more or less a final update on the TC-30 with another .2L of motor. Had I really needed o'all heft to match the hp I would have chosen between LS/Boomer and Kioti. btw: After much research and consideration I chose for o'all ergonomics and having the loader valve on the tower vs on the fender so my lanky old arse could get on and off, and it's kind of a 'low-rider' too, ... the way I like 'em. :)

You guys with 17xx's and 19xx's (00, 10, 20) can probably understand why I like the ISMs in general. If NH goes back to Shibaura I hope their stuff is more rugged like those oldies than the veritable yard decoration I have now, as dazzling as it is (;)). A guy can buy a Longhorn steer to dress up his yard, but even a CUT has gotta work or go out to pasture. :2cents:

LS came to North America in 2009.

I've had my Boomer 3050 with fel for a week now and have only put on about 10 hours but everything works perfectly and I am very pleased. The engine has a Shibaura plate on it what ever that means since I do not know what other engines others are referring to with "old builds' versus the "new" builds. AC is frosty cold and I installed the CD/FM/AM radio myself. So far, so good!
PS- All my other tractors are a bit heavier with longer wheel bases so my only complaint of the 3050 is a rougher ride so I'll have to take it slower on the property until I can get the disc harrow out this winter and see if I can smooth the land out a bit.

I've owned a 1999 1720 for 7 years now and I can attest to the strengths of the tractor...
I purchased it used as a 1 owner with 245 hours and now she has a tick over 700...
Very reliable, dependable, simpler to work on than newer models, easy on fuel, perfect for my uses...
Added a FEL 3 years ago and don't plan on ever letting it go...
I hope NH comes back to ISM...
Excellent quality...
