Case DX 40 8/1/03
Hello everyone, Well, I drove a 3045 today, and liked it. Although the fwd/rev lever was a little stiff to move, I was wondering if this is a common thing with new tractors or not? If so, does it loosen up after awhlile? Thanks, Griz.

Difficult question to answer for you without driving the same tractor and comparing it to my 3045. Were you operating it properly? You have to pull the lever toards you when you shift. If you were just trying to move it up and down, it would be very hard to move. I suggest trying it again on the same tractor, this time remembering about pulling the lever toards you. Then I would try a different tractor on the dealer's lot to compare. I would describe mine as firm and positive, I have no issues with it at all with it.
