vegetable oil burns great in my little yanmar! I've mixed in as much as 20% veg oil in my tank, no noticeable difference, exhaust smells funny though. Local co-op FINALLY installed off road pumps!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Off road bio-diesel no less. I can finally save 40 cents a gallon at the pump. And if diesel gets too spendy I know I can fuel up at McDonalds if necesary! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Make sure to thin that Wesson/Criso/Olive Oil out in the winter.

The gel point of vegetable oils is higher than diesel. Same with biodiesel that you get commercially. As diesel gets cold it will separate and waxy buildup will clog your fuel filter, fuel lines, etc. Biodiesel and vegetable oils begin to gel at warmer temps than regular diesel. I'd suggest you use something like Power Service or one of the other anti-gel conditioners in your fuel mixture.
