I've noticed today that my G1900 (60" deck) seems to be bogging down in grass that is the same height and using the same power settings as usual. In fact, the grass is drier than normal due to little rainfall in the last month.

I sharpened the blades two mows ago, I keep the spindle bearings greased, as well as the deck driveshaft (but not the Hydro driveshaft, I know it needs a new one because I can feel it vibrating), and the motor uses no oil whatsoever, blows no smoke, and always fires right up.

One thing I have not done in a very long time is change the hydro fluid and filter. Dunno if that could have anything to do with it.
I'd appreciate any ideas.

Diesel, right? Change air filter. Change fuel filter. When was last time these filters were changed? Check for restriction in exhaust. How fresh is fuel? Philip.

I don't fully understand the problem, Is the motor bogging and loosing power or is the deck not cutting properly? If motor is maintaining RPM, I suggest that you check the PTO drive belt. If that belt is fraying, you will get vibration and it will slip and not drive the deck. Engine RPM would not drop and loose power due to PTO belt.

No the motor is bogging down, losing power. Its not the PTO belt slipping.
