Having charging issues with my g1900. Getting 30v AC from the alt and 12v from the key switch to the regulator. Just no output from the regulator. I bought a new regulator but has the same issue.... Unless the new one is DOA.... Kinda stumped. What else could it be?

If the battery is fully charged the regulator will shut down till the battery needs more power.

I've ruled out the regulator and the alternator or whatever its called on these. Still have the no charge light on the dash and no 14 +/- volts coming from the regulator. I guess I need to check the wiring from the regulator to the battery. Does it by any chance go to the black box? Maybe that could be my problem. IDK... Still stumped.

Fixed it! Simple as a fuse not making good contact. lol

Now to fixing the temp and fuel gauges.

I have a G1800 that I had the fuel/temp gauges not working, I just pulled the wires and cleaned up the connections and they came to life. However remember there are 2 temp sending units on these tractors one is right up by the radiator cap (when this one is grounded all it does is set off the buzzer that's designed to be a fail safe.) The other is on the front of the engine almost in line with the injectors. Clean them up and see what happens!
