I have a G1900S that will not start intermittently. Today after mowing for about 2 hours I stopped the tractor. I blew it off with the leaf blower to get the grass and dust off. When I went to put it back in the shed it would not start. This same thing happened a couple of weeks ago.

The Stop Solenoid was oscillating open and closed when I went to start the unit and it would not fire. After trying several times I jumped the unit off my car and it fired right up. I tried a couple of more times on the tractor battery and no problems. I just put a new battery in within the last month.

Obviously I have some electrical gremlins. Any advise on where to start looking? How do I check the dynamo to see if it is still charging the battery properly?

Thanks,

Dennis

A 12 volt battery fully charged will have 12.6 volts-2.1 volts per cell.A voltmeter is neded to check the charging voltage of the dynamo-should be about 14 volts.First guess, you have a connection problem somewhere-Good Luck!
