G3038H Engine info

I have a 2013 G3038H Tractor. Recently the starter wouldn't engage the bendix. I didn't like the price tag for a factory starter and took the starter to a local performance starter shop for repair. He took it apart and found the plastic ring gear for the planetary had gone to powder. He can't find a replacement part or a replacement starter off the the LS G3038H search and wanted info on the engine. The engine number is GB120655. Can anyone tell me anything about this engine. I think the dealership said it was a Mitsubishi but I can't even find that information. Looks like the new tier IVs are made by LS

Not sure I want to go back with the factory now anyway if it has a weak part in it.

Any help would be great

See if this matches your engine, LS L3AL is what I believe it is, page 77 has the starter diagram.
