Keep an eye on the radiator. The salt air helps speed up deterioration of the cooling fins on the radiator. That was my experience with fleet vehicles in Hawaii.
Interesting rust prevention idea....not too expensive....great look and.....if the tractor ever breaks down....you could always use the metal for rain gutters!

I think this is a great idea. I LIKE the look, should be durable and heck, you couldn't have even had a decent paint job done for the same price. Did you have to do any prep (paint removal, etc) before you gave them the body parts or did they do everything?
I had to sandblast everything down to "white" metal.
The galvanizing outfit then dips the clean metal in a pickling solution, then into molten zinc.
Small holes can become plugged up with zinc. Anything threaded must be chased with a tap later. You also can't have any un-vented air spaces in the metal.
When I first got the sheetmetal back, it was bright silver like rattle can chrome. In the picture it has faded to a more respectable gray.
