OK, you got me. I'm done. It really would be nice if the moderators would notify the members before, during or after the fact when they are going to change posts.

Help me understand why. What was changed and why it was changed is contained in each of the posts that were changed. How would a PM improve the process?

Also see ------> my reply in the All.... thread to your same comment.

If nothing else, two terms come to mind...consideration and customer service. You chose to edit the content of MY posts, yet, there are other posts on TBN with inline images. Since I did not violate the terms of service or the forum rules, and others are allowed to do this, maybe a PM would have helped me understand your actions a little better.

I'll answer for Mike as a dial-up user. If there are only 1 or 2 inline images it isn't too bad, but if the whole post is inline images is really slow and really a pain. I've been trying to follow your progress, but if I have to wait for all of the pictures to download each time, I probably won't. I would rather be able to view the pictures when I read that particular post the first time, not everytime I revisit to see your updates.

Calm down and give Mike a break. He's not singling you out or anything. He is a volunteer w/ other responsibilities i.e. job & family. He is just trying to "correct" things when he sees a problem to make it friendlier for everybody - even for us still stuck on dial-up.

Hopefully you'll continue to post your progress as I look forward to seeing how it comes out.

Actually, a couple of the other posts I was referring to have a "string of inline images" also, that's why the reasoning eludes me.

I change inline images to links when

1. I am notified of them.
2. I personally see them.

When you've seen inline images, have you notified the Moderators? There are far too many posts each day for the Moderators to read all of them. We are a community of TBNers and we (the Moderators) count on others to notify us of issues. If we are not made aware of it, we can't correct it.

The shingles are done and all of the windows we received are in. Got one wrong size window. Garage doors are supposed to be at the warehouse for p/u Monday and I forgot the siding was special order, so that is going to be another delay.

Rear. Siding should start Monday, if I can get the inspector onsite before then. We have to do "load pathing" now. The structure has to be strapped to the foundation, across the floor joists and to the roof trusses. This requires a separate inspection and needs to be done before the siding is installed, otherwise they'll make you take the siding off.

You never know for sure what things will be until they are finished. You're the second person who's asked that. The other was my son, who is a professional firefighter/EMT. He was 5 or 6 when we built him a swing set /playhouse that did have a firepole. He has been fascinated by fire / rescue trucks since the first time my brother took him to play on them. It was on his 3rd birthday and he started volunteering at 13, got hired by D.C. Fire when he was 19. Guess some things just stick with you no matter what.

Hmmm? OK, I overlooked this statement the first time ... Is this to inspect the load bearing locations? wouldn't that have been done by architect when plans were drawn? Unless these are plans of your own design /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Thats OK , My plans for my barn came straight out of my head /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif (paperless enviroment) and it actually passed inspection /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Sorry for the delay, pace got a little hectic on the paying job. Load pathing is "horizontal force resistance". Everything between and including the foundation and roof trusses have to be strapped together forming "one continuous chain". In the picture, I highlighted part of the chain; foundation to sill, sill to sheathing and first to second floor. I don't have a picture of the sheathing to roof truss straps right now.

Electric subapnel and most of the wiring is also done. I could only add a 125 amp 42 space panel without going to a separate meter base. The window and block will soon be replaced with a door.
