garage door trim/J-channel/

putting a 16x7 garage door in the pole building and am trying to find that trim that goes around the door opening, its pretty much an L-channel that is about 7-8" wide on the big part and then comes out around the edge like J-channel, but where do you find it? Ive been to lowes and home depot and havnt even seen regular J-channel..?

I've had some on order (through local lumber yard) for two doors, plus other trim, since the middle of May, and shortly it will be two months. Don't know if its steel shortage or behind in orders, or my order is just too small, but something is taking a long time. Have had the doors ready to be delivered and installed for almost 6 weeks now, and getting anxious to finish the project.

I thought ordering was possible through both Lowes and HD. Apparently not?

Unless that's in stock at one of their warehouses, you're probably waiting for them to order a truckload from the manufacturer. Fencing is also taking a long time for delivery supposedly because of the issues with steel.

In this area they have Menard's Home Centers. I bought their Steel Roofing products from a manufacturer call Midwest Manufacturing. The will make and profile or any length pieces for a reasonable priced based on square footage. Come in about 30 colors too. Lead-time is about 2 weeks.
