I just got a quote for a 20 x 24 garage. It is two story with the first floor below grade with the back wall to daylight with a 12 foot garage door and a man door. The same door setup on the opposite side on the top floor. Two windows on each side and a hip roof. Unfinished inside and no utilities. Structure all brick. I was quoted 59k on this in western PA. Is this price good. I am in a housing plan and the structure must match the house so I can't side it or I would.

Doesn't sound that bad to me, that's a fair bit of work and brick is pretty expensive. They must be putting in a footing to support brickwork. I assume the concrete floor is included. So the second story has a wood floor supported on wood joists? Can you post pictures of the plan elevations?

Both floors cement. Three steel beams to support the steel decking on the second floor.

I'd say the price is very reasonable, that's quite a bunker you're building.

I am a contractor and I think by the sounds of things that is a fair price.
